It's amazing how much spending a few extra hours in bed each day can help with my SPD pain.  I don't even have to be sleeping, just as long as I'm in a position that allows my spine & pelvis to relax.  Burned out on pregnancy and birth-related books, I'm plowing through cheesy mystery novels at an alarming rate during my hours in bed.  It's better ( Read more... )

So, on the SPD front, I got frustrated with the physical therapist and quit.  She was nice and cool and all, but didn't seem to know how to help.  I kept getting the feeling like she was totally winging it.  So I've been seeing a chiropractor who seems confident that he knows what he's doing, which I guess is a good sign.  I can't tell if it's ( Read more... )

Okay, just a quick update while I eat my bedtime snack, cuz I am SO tired...I had a super busy day today and I'm not going to be conscious much longer.

I am SO tired of people acting like I have no idea that childbirth is going to hurt.
Especially when I mention my SPD pain.  Some days, I can barely fucking walk.  My MIL was like, "oh just wait until you're in labor."  That's real helpful, thanks.  So if I break my leg while I'm pregnant, I shouldn't say anything about the pain because the labor ( Read more... )

I honestly meant to be updating at least once a week through my pregnancy, but I fell behind.  So here's what's been going on, in no particular order:

This morning as I was laying in bed with Sheila and we were feeling Danica's daily calisthenics, it actually occurred to me that there will be a few things I will miss about being pregnant after I give birth.  I've been so busy bitching and moaning and being in pain lately that it hasn't really crossed my mind until now.
