BEING AWAKE AT 2 AM, DRINKING ROOT BEER, does not make my mind very coherent. Better than drinking real beer, naturally, but I haven't drunk pop in over a year, so it might as well be. Feeling slightly buzzed, can't fathom what sleep is anymore, and am listening to soft rock. Not very good signs ( Read more... )

Posting on Livejournal is a great idea. More so for people who have a LJ account though. The thing about fanfic.net is that the favourites list can be used to checke for update and serves as a master list of stories worth reading again. LJ's friends page and the memories system essentially achieve the same things, but a LJ account is necessary. So I would argue that for the non-LJ reader, these would be rather big changes if you were to switch over completely. Since I do have LJ and check fanfic.net regularly, I don't care either way.

Yeah, I get what you mean. I was hoping to use an email notification system that would do the same thing if I used LJ, though I suppose the master list of stories would be harder to find for non LJ people. I've been thinking over it a while, though-- I might as well just post on both. A bit of a hassle, but what works, works. Haha I'm such an incredible moron sometimes. But thanks so much on your input! Really helped me with the decision making. :)

Ditto what the reader above said. I like being able to keep track of my favorite stories, authors, etc. I also find stories by looking at the profiles and favorite lists of other readers. In other words, ff.net gives you more exposure. Plus, with the kind of writing skills you have, you really ought to be posting on ff.net, not LJ. If you have it, flaunt it!!

Haha thanks. :) But I think I'll just post on both LJ and ff.net, I suppose, like I said in the reply above. I don't know why I didn't think of it, really. Stupid Jenn. Ahh. OHMYGOODNESS. I completely forgot to tell you; the new "Everything" fanlisting layout is beyond gorgeous. I saw it the other day, and was completely blown away. Just, everything. I should write you a series, or something. Love you, seriously.

You're too kind, Jenn. I was actually planning on making something more elaborate, instead it turned out kinda blah. Will try harder next time, and maybe add a section on "the author" or something..

A short story would be mighty cool, but an update (or two) on Everything I Know would be, like, Winter break all over again! Hahaha.. ok, ok, I'll shut up now :P

Very nice story! I really enjoyed reading it! I liked the hopeful tone through out the story!
About posting on ff.net, I have to agree with the others, and say that I do perfer that since it is eaiser to know when one updates and whatnot. But, with all the new rules ff.net seems to putting on their site, a lot of good authors are moving out as well...heh. I suppose either way it doesn't matter, except ff.net is just eaiser... =)

Aww, thanks for the comment, on both the fic and posting. ff.net has come up with so many new rules, mostly formatting-wise, and ugly formatting ticks me off like you wouldn't believe. :P But I'll keep "Everything" up on ff.net, but also post here. I don't know; it'll work out. I'll MAKE it work out. :P

Dude. For real. Like, here.

:) Here, of course. Much, much easier, as I've learned.

Love Trio fic. Am sorta bleary so didn't reread it, but it was brilliant. Already raved, already toldja about the details that I loved.

Ummmm. What else. Oh yeah. If you need help with the LJ, let me know 'cause I've like, you know, got it down. *cool Draco smirk*

Interesting. Just realized I'm in radical disagreement with the above readers ( ... )

Yeah, I can always count on you to be the little black sheep until the rest of the flock comes tumbling along. :)

And I know all your points, so I figure this comment isn't really for me, although judging from my memory (or lack thereof), it's probably good that you wrote this all down. I never really considered just posting on both... hrm. Good thinking, Jenn. Honestly. I have no idea how these little options escape me.

Mm. Chapter 3 of SS is going... ploddingly. Or, it's plodding along. At a slow... ploddly pace.

Okay. Am going to stop saying the word "plodding."

P.S. Craig Nicholls is still hot as hell

OMG! HIGH FIVE. Hahaha. I think I'll just post on ff.net for the people for whom it's easier, though. I don't like a lot of the quality of writing on ff.net anymore (it's not like I'm a stud writer or anything, but when you browse thorugh ANY category you're almost bound to come up with so much crap that is honestly just CRAP), and LJ allows you to keep connections between good writing and fics through friends and just mentions, which I like, but, yeah. I'll just use both.

LOVE your icon, by the way. ;) Waiting for 7/16 too.
