i asked my dad if applying to 7 different colleges is normal and he said yeah, if you have no idea what youre doing.

There is a window that has "HIPPIES USE SIDE DOOR" next to it at Rad's.
Everytime I look at it I wish that you would come out of nowhere.

Confidence is deceptive sometimes. I felt the exact same way last year, it was disconcerting. Then just scary. Then depressing.

Put it this way: at this point, a lot of people look like they know what they're doing and why they're doing it. Few actually do. Even fewer know that they don't know (you do). This leaves bunches of either clueless or indifferent people roaming around campus.

I'd take solace in knowing that you have a leg up on these people. The fact that you're scared means you're serious about and committed to your future. The fact that you miss your friends means superficial relationships aren't necessarily satisfactory to you. I'd say your own are good hands to be in :-).
