Not a dumb question at all it took me forever to figure it out
I use photobucket.com you load your pics there check the pics you want to post hit the blog em button on right bottom of page hit the view html sorce buttom bottom middle copy and paste to your post
I think there is an easier way and each pic will give you 3 different codes underneath it but I have never been able to get those codes to work I just always use the blog em option.
Do you do your posts from the screen here at livejournal, or do you have a program for it? We use Semagic, which is really simple and has cheater buttons for everything, so you don't have to worry about coding stuff right. With Semagic, you just upload your photos to somewhere online (we use Flickr), and click on the images button while you write your post. Copy and paste the URL of the desired photo into the little popup screen, and it will do the coding for you. Same thing for doing cuts, links, special fonts or colors, or most anything else you want to do.
