So tired today... I've been about 6 hours off since coming back from Europe. I was about 3 hours off while I was there, which accounts for the full 9 hours of time difference. Does anyone know of places in Seattle that would take 2 cats and 2 dogs (over 50 lbs.) in addition to 1 human? I met someone in New York who is moving out here, and I told them I'd ask around. Their budget is up to 1k, where cheaper would generally be preferable. No other real specifications.

Last night I took the train from Stuttgart to Munster. I had about an hour to spend at the station between getting dropped off and my train departing.

Lufthansa employees in Stuttgart have been issued small electric chariots so that they may run over visitors who insolently refuse to follow their directions. Taxis here have replaced their tacky meter boxes with really slick displays embedded in their rear view mirrors.

There is a creature similar to a Cockatrice, Basilisk, or Medusa which can transmute people with its gaze into small copper statues. This creature inhabits the station for the "L" subway at 14th St. & 8th Ave. Behold:

Contrary to the world view presented in the film Phone Booth, there are still pay phones in New York City, and snipers do NOT shoot at you when you try to use them. I'm sure you're all relieved.

More interestingly, there is now a public alcohol program to go along with the telephones. Many public phones are now equipped with public booze:
