I think the monky moving in drained my brain and made me forget to take care of all the monthly household expenses.  S'all good though, its not late and that's what they made next day air for.

So, in the process of trying to figure out medications for a patient.  I come across an order that I just couldn't figure out.  Why are we giving 10mg of medication, THEN giving a test dose of 0.25???  So turns out that the doctor forgot to put a different medication name infront of the 10mg order......possible ramifications...patient gets 5x the  ( Read more... )

Ok so I have to say that things at work are much improved.  The person I have been having so much trouble, actually said "hi how are you" to me tonight.  Things have been slowly getting better, and I think that they have come to realize that I truely want to get along.  So good news on that front ( Read more... )

My first week off orientation went well, three uneventful days.  Then I come back from 4 days off and kapow!  The first day back they floated me to another unit....they aren't supposed to float you for 6months after orientation!!!!!  Then the second day back they have me as charge nurse for four hours!!!! Orientation ends on Friday!!!  Nervous as hell, I will be on my own, with no back up!  I think I will do ok, but still scary.  When you have someone looking over your shoulder for 12 weeks and then suddenly do not have anyone there it can be freaky.  Wish me luck.
