Well, it only took my family about 50 years and two generations but we have finally added a baby girl to the tree

The Great-Niece/Great-Uncle's-Kid relationship is 1st Cousins Once removed.Your kid would be 1st cousins with your nephew Wes. Wes's daughter would be one generation removed from that relationship. Your grandkid and Wes's daughter would be 2nd cousins.
