Today I went for a new patient check at my new doctors surgery. They weighed me. This was a slightly daunting prospect... I tend to avoid scales. Anyway, turns out I am exactly my ideal weight for my height. Yay!

Note: I realise the BMI has limitations for certain groups of people but I'm not in ones of those so I think I can celebrate.

I was going to have a rant about disabled people misusing their disabled parking rights but then I though maybe I was being naive so I shall tell people the situation I saw and someone will doubtlessly tell me if they were correct or not ( Read more... )

So this weekend I went home to have several birthday BBQs. On the saturday I got to see my brother and his family (including my almost 3 year old nephew) and dad did a small BBQ in the rain under the gazebo. Yesterday I threw a BBQ at my house to celebrate my birthday. This was 2 weeks early of my actual birthday but last year most people had managed to be anywhere but cambridge for it. So I had my job interview today. I think it went alright there was lots of nodding and smiling and some laughter and I don't think I put my foot in it...

Fingers crossed.

On Sunday I went to a local archery competition and set a new personal best. It was quite scary arriving as most of my club were shooting in a different competition elsewhere. Yay! I got a 2.i! I'm so relieved and happy. Now I can sit back and enjoy the next two weeks or so till I graduate. (Well I need to look for a job but that's a minor detail)

So yesterday I went a bought a fan... last night it started secreting oil so now I have to take it back and get a new one, so much for lying in my room in front of it.
