I know this entry was a really long time ago, but I thought I'd comment...

My dog is a small dog, 17 pounds, and I TRY to take her with me for 30 minutes. The farthest she's gotten is about 1.25 miles, resulting in me carrying her the rest of the (short) way home. She won't even come near me when I try to put the leash on her anymore...haha
