At Sea

"How long have you been here?" asks my classmate when I walk back into the study lounge.
"Oh, uh... I just got here."

The truth was, I'd been studying most of the day but didn't want to admit it because I felt like I was getting nowhere.

It's more that this trait can be both very beautiful but also quite destructive; knowing when to back off and realize that I'm taking it too far is something I'll need to learn.

It's not whining; I think many of us are at the point where some of those high school characteristics seem to be resurfacing. I know I'm in pretty much the same place, too. So don't worry too much about whining. We all need to at some point.
