Remember at the beginning of this season 09/10 campaign, everyone wrote off Arsenal FC? Pundits doubted our ability to finish in top 4. Arsenal FC were just a bunch of babies, not men. We were too weak, too lightweights. We didn't have mental strength like other teams had. That was how others defined us.
But what defines football? What defines (supporting) Arsenal FC?
the committed manager
the passionate fans
the amazing players
it is a game of 1 ball, 22 men, 2 managers, 4 officials and countless fans
90 minutes 90 emotions
a work of art
attacking
defending
goals
injuries
winning
losing
it involves teamwork and individual skills
it gives hopes
it gives pains
ups and downs
joy and happiness
disappointments and heartbreaks
but football is more than just a game
supporting Arsenal FC is far better than that
it's about a team
a band of brothers
the amazing manager who somehow becomes an inspiration
it's about being close together as a family
sticking up for each other
care about others
and most importantly, it's about supporting the team no matter if we are winning or losing
through thick and thin
highs and lows
smiles and tears
"Once you are a Gunner, you're a Gunner for life"
and it's not just about titles or silverwares
it's deeper than that
it's about enjoying football
feeling that for one-and-a-half hour, life is beautiful
and that's it, basically, why football exists
and why we're supporting Arsenal FC
Arsenal FC, a team that will be remembered for their way of playing football
players who will be remembered for the magnificent things they have done
and a manager who will be remembered for sharing his art of football
