This is going to be quick. I just read an article on www.ninemsn.com.au that said that teachers shouldn't use red pens to mark students work because it could damage their mental health, due to the colour red being "aggressive".

What.

The.

Hellz.

I had a weird teacher who insisted on marking in green pen because she read a study about how human eyes tend to skip over red and focus on green. Then I had a youngish, hippish teacher who marked in all colors of the rainbow, including silver. She was awesome. I miss her.

I would have liked rainbows... I had a teacher who varied between red and green because she was colour blind and couldn't actually tell what colour she was using.

Apparently red damages the psyche. And today's teenagers are all going to go and kill themselves if they see red pen on their tests. (Seriously, one "youth health advocate" [read: moron] tried to say that suicide amongst teenagers would increase.)
