Ouch. I feel bad for you.

I think you're father is overreeacting to the whole situation. Is he wanting perfection from you? Is he want you to be something you know you can't be? I'm no psychiatrist, but your father needs to realize you're human and that he's human too. Also, he needs to realize, though he may not like them, that mistakes pop up from time to time. I've got a mother who's never satisfied with anything...and she's got to learn the same thing. I feel for you.

There's nothing wrong with losing sight of God. I used to believe in God years ago, but time brought me to a different place...a spiritual place. Everything you need is already there and you've just got to find it. I'm not sure if you're Catholic or Christian, but your religion doesn't matter. God is whoever you make him/her/it out to be. Find your own God. Sprituality--whether it's in religion or opposed to religion--is subjective. Maybe you should ask yourself simple questions. Why do you think you lost God? Why do you want to rediscover him?
