Today was a laughing day: first with Kelly at work and then later tonight when I was on the phone with Laura. I just feel ridiculous and happy about everything. I trolled through three lists for work today, which I'm going to share because the information actually might have catalyzed the laughing process.

I'll be in Galesburg Friday afternoon & night. Saturday afternoon & night. Sunday afternoon!

        In the first book "Why is Veronica, this guilt-instigating, cancer-ridden mystic important to the narrator?"  tugs you along.  In the second book the nagging unease that a mystery of the past will reveal the co-dependence of sister and brother vaguely keeps one's interest for at least 83 pages.  I got through 13 of the last and final one ( Read more... )

     I'm not sure what I think about Mary Gaitskill's Two Girls, Fat and Thin and Veronica.  The particular details of the characters'  memories and the way they percieve the world through disembodied and fragmented parts make me believe I'm taking a cold walk through the real.  It's a little like The Morgesons hits American Psycho and A ( Read more... )

My house is like a gingerbread house for birds.  Rat-a-tat tat, rat-a-tat tat.  Ugh, it hurts to wake up to that.

Based on the idea that art is created by presenting it outside the artist and to the public, If I posted an entry and made it "private" so that it's only visible to me, is it art?  The intention is there, it exists outside myself, and we all believe that anything Internet is waiting to be hacked, no?  Nothing here is ever really private.
