So it took me almost THREE hours to put together the poll for my_awards last night o_0. Don't get me wrong, I love that it's getting so popular but, gah, exhausting. Plus, it completely messed up my plan to watch another ep of Carnivale. Yes, that's right, thanks to the absolutely loverlie trustanti I am now in possession of this bizarre and, so far, pretty brill

I can't believe I didn't get Return of the King! (Which you have down as Return of the Ring. Which is also true.) I knew I knew that shadow, though I'd have never guessed Legolas's girly horror-scream face.

Hee! But, y'know, calling the way (movie!)Legolas does something "girly" is a bit redundant, no? ;P :: snuggles his (at the very least) metrosexual-ish self :: Anyway, I actually have a confession to make regarding that cap. I, uh, cropped it a smidge to take out the point of his ears *g*. Something that probably would have made it much easier to place.

Speaking of this one though, have you "met" Captain Jack yet? If not, what ep are ya up too?

I'm halfway through nine. The multiple writers thing is causing me severe cognitive dissonance - like, I watched 8, Father's Day, which was beautiful character porn with lots of interaction and woe and movement and internal strife and Aah! YOU KILLED THE TIMESTREAM! goodness. And then there's 9, which is like, 'Nazis! You like nazis, right? And flying! From a blimp! Omg we're so cool' and I'm like, ew, old sci-fi pulp novel.

Ha! Soo true. The thing is though I found there to be a HUGE emotional pay-off (and plenty of character porn ;)) in part 2, "The Doctor Dances", which couldn't help but improve my less-than-stellar opinion of "The Empty Child". So I guess what I'm saying is that I think even the most exhausted of cliches can made into something great, it's just a matter of building off of them and not trying to rely on them, y'know? Anyway while I'm thinking about it, now that you've seen "Father's Day" you're free to watch my vid dedicated to the ep if ya want ;). Heh, I'm such a whore.
