[It'd been awhile since Nena had last piloted her Throne - it'd been awhile since she had last seen her Throne. But hey, it was there! And she really wanted to find some of those flags that she knew were in the City

[A huge, dragon-like mecha loomed nearby as the Stealth Field's crimson particles filled the air above the City. Umi, secure inside Celes' armor, was feeling the consequences of having to will the mashin to move out of her sheer strength. But she stood strong and rode the sea god as a giant armor.

Now, as the Throne showed up before her eyes she could hardly believe what she was seeing. It resembled Autozam's FTO, but at the same time it was different. She'd had no idea things like that could be found in The City too. Had everyone been given weapons to fight this battle...?]

Wow... That's a nice trick.

[It didn't really matter. The only thing that'd make a difference was finding out which side that mecha was on. And whether there were more of them.]

[Kira himself had made a mad dash for his machine at the sight of the particles spreading across the sky. Hopping in the cockpit, he quickly checked the CPC, neural linkage setup, power levels, and all his other diagnostic processes. Throwing the thrusters into max, the Strike Freedom rocketed up into the sky from it's position in the forest. The TV cameras had picked up two machines. One a Gundam type and the other unknown.

Kira himself was neutral. Flags were of little interest to him but fighting was what concerned him. However, what had worked for him in his world would do little where equal or more powerful suits existed. He didn't know this so he leveled one laser rifle toward the Gundam type and the other towards the unknown type and powered up his external speakers.]

Please power down your suits and step away from them. I don't want to see any senseless fighting.

[This wouldn't do. Umi had lowered her guard, too distracted by the display of light and particles to notice a newcomer had approached the location. It wasn't until she heard whoever piloted this new ...robot? it was certainly not a mashin... addressing her directly that she made Celes turn, massive dragon sword in a defense position.]

I'm not going out until I hear which side are you on!

[The thing the stranger rode was mechanical. That was obvious. Umi noticed the slight resemblance with the unknown mecha spreading the particles and wondered.] Who are you?

[Kira's Gundam stayed hovering in mid air, the two rifles still on target. He had pulled down his keyboard inside the cockpit and was rapidly typing, attempting to assign a designation to the unknown mech.]

I'm Kira Yamato, pilot of the Strike Freedom. If you're asking for my team, it's White.

[Hikaru had been trying to move the Rayearth to a halfway point to meet with Umi when the communications connection faltered for a few minutes and then came back. She guessed it was interference from something, but not sure what. Until she saw the particles being spread from a mashin that looked like Eagle's GTO. Was there someone from Autozam here? But then she heard the voice asking them to power down their armors. She wanted to find out what was going on.]

What is all this? Who are you guys?

[No answer in words; instead there's a streak of energy suddenly flying at Rayearth from the distance.]

[She suddenly jolts at the energy, not sure where it came from or why.]

What was that?!

[More shots from the same direction. They're not perfectly aimed, but Rayearth is a big target, so they're a threat nonetheless.]

[The border between the City and the wild forest outside it is vast, and somewhere along the line, a small ridge dips down to meet the trees. Today, there's another shade of green hiding there, and it's a little less natural than the growth around it.]

It's been a while, hasn't it, Haro?

Targets found! Targets found!

I know, I saw them too.

[Inside the Gundam's cockpit, Lockon pulls up the rifle's sight with one hand and turns on the communications with other Gundams with the other.]

Lockon Stratos, sniping the targets!

[And a beam of energy lances out into the City sky towards the enemy mecha.]

Such disclosures are unnecessary to the mission at hand.

[ His own channel activated, Tieria answered the conversation between Allelujah and Lockon as Virtue swept into the surrounding area, keeping to the air. Never mind that it was all for the sake of a flag: in his mind, the curse had overridden any protests and placed these stakes as high as any directive issued in their world. The enemy deserved no courtesy, and failure would not be allowed for. Still -]

Exercise caution.

[ Prepared to utilize Virtue's heavy firepower, he maintained enough relative distance not to reveal Dynames' location, but sufficient in the event backup was needed. The problems presented by Lockon's missing eye were far from lost on him. ]

[ While his brother prefers to remain planted in one location, Lyle isn't as good about that. He stays planted for a brief moment not far from his brother before he raises up and goes toward the scene of fighting. ]

I'm going in! They won't win this.

[ No mission, no idea-just instincts, which he has enough of for a fight like this. A smirk creases his lips as he moves closer. ]

[Damn it all. Where had that come from?? If only Fuu was there they could organize their defenses! Umi hated herself for not being fast enough to stand on the way of the shot herself.] Aren't you really brave, fighting us from a hidden spot... Let's see if we can get you out!

[Umi focused her magical power and a blue aura surrounded Celes. Then the mashin released a water blast toward the area where Umi calculated the shot had come from: it was a close a bet as she could make.]
