Because I do feel proud, and I've been telling myself its not entirely appropriate that I should, for something that is not, after all, the work of my hands or mind. In a sense all I can say is that it was 15 or 18 hours of my time. But I guess I was part of the process, and that's a nice thing.
How exactly does one becme an artist's model? I answered an ad for photography life models once but nothign ever came of it (I think they were looking for girls who were conventially good looking). but the whole idea still interests me, vain creature that I am....and fascinated with all things artistic.
I basically rocked up to the the ANU school of arts and pimped myself to the admin. person. I was lucky, the first class I had the teacher really looked after me, and so it was a great experience. I got lots of work through the ANU, then started to branch out, the teachers, people in the classes etc. started to book me for other classes, and the art school admin recommended me to other groups of artists. I have also responded to ads, but I think it helped that I could say I had x amount of experience at reputable places.
I think you should look into it... artists will love you.
