Some time in the eighties, my aunties started to have their babies at home. I was eight when my cousin Liam was born, gently and without drama, in the upstairs bedroom of my parent's house in Newtown. I wasn't able to attend the Canberra Rally, and was disappointed that there didn't seem to be an equivilent one in Brisbane.

Would like to hear your thoughts on how it went.

Paula came up from Adelaide with Fionn (9 months old and impossibly gorgeous) to attend the rally.

I wish more birthing options were more generally and publicly socially acceptable. I've had my choices ripped away from me far more often than is reasonable surrounding the subject of birth lately, and it's heartbreaking.
