Yeah.. I realized I felt the best when I was slapping around the house in moccasins. Problem is I have long, but WIDE in front feet, and slightly webbed toes between the second and third, so the Vibram Five-Fingers probably won't work with me.
I've been barefoot all day (which is totally new and different for me.. I usually have Crocs on.. and I suspect that's a good part of my problem) and the various cracking, popping, and weird feelings in my legs (yet a serious lack of back pain!) are indicating that I'm moving in the right direction, at least!
I tried the books and such and after huge fail.....got cut. Smartest decision I ever made.....I'll be able to walk like a human at Pennsic.....not to mention Fairfax won't have to tie my shoes. Now If I could actually find the to start....and stick to the P90X workout I will loose my gut and be able to fight at more than a "yea I fight but not at a competetive level" level. A Laurel that can kick ass too.....kind of a nice thought
Well, the thing is, my feet, according to all the foot people I've ever seen, are PERFECT as they are, it's just nobody actually MAKES shoes that they fit into.
It's a lot like ski-boots. The single most comfy footwear I've ever had is good ole minnetonka mocs.. but then I look like a hippy. :)
