just to set the records straight, i do not believe there is a God. the idea of god plays on mankind's fear of dying. he is a bed time story made up to make us eat our vegetables. pretty much everything our country is founded on is made up. i mean, yeah, the federal reserve exists, but its less federal and more a private business the government ( Read more... )

then why get out of bed? some day you'll die and nothing you did will matter. just die now, and be done with it right? and what does God have to do with government?

why would i want to die right now? there isn't a party after, this is the party. and and the idea of God and government go hand in hand. the government can only bully you in life, that isn't good enough to opress people. you need to be afraid of being alive and being dead to really submit. enter God, the one that can screw you after you die too.

you sound like a child. get over your conspiracy theories and anger at the world/government/god/whatever and grow up. how about taking care of your own life before worrying about others 'owners' and 'rights'. just a thought.

what's crazy to me is how people can look around them and not believe there is a God...sure there's a lot of bad and corrupt things in the world, but that's not God's fault, people have free will. but how can you look at the human body, the brain... the human mind, our emotions and the way the universe works and not believe there's a mastermind behind it...something so much greater that created it all. it's too intricate, too beautiful to have all "just happened".
why do you think people feel a void in their lives that nothing can fill? why is there even the question of God's existence? because deep in our souls...we know, that there must be something more...

i believe the universe and our earth are truly incredible. they are beautiful and wonderful to look at and be a part of. i agree with you that human body and the brain are inconceivably amazing things. the only difference is that i attribute natures beauty to nature. the idea that God just poofed it all into existence completely robs everything of their own beauty and ingenuities. my viewpoint does not suggest that everything we see just happened. life forms have fought and struggled and persevered. i agree that life is too beautiful to have just happened. i would consider seven days of creation closer to a "just happened" than 13 billion years of struggle.
