My daughter has moved to Japan for the next year or two.  After she left (with her permission) we sorted through all of her CDs and put them back into their original jewel boxes.  Then I put everything into an Access database, complete with UPC codes, and asked her to identify which ones she wanted to keep, and which ones I could dispose of!  There ( Read more... )

This is an interesting mixture -- I grew up on the east coast, but have lived most of my life in the midwest (Wisconsin) -- yet that shows up as only 5% -- amazing how what you learn as a child sticks with you throughout your life.

I just discovered that one of my all time favorite short stories is on the Internet - free for the reading! It's Larry Niven's Man of Steel, Woman of Kleenex about the challenges of Superman having sex with a mere human. The imagery is wonderful -- go read and giggle!

A&E held an MI-5 marathon on Saturday in preparation for the Season 3 premiere that evening.
