I just spoke with my boss today to see if I could get a week off in april without pay to go with Tim to Germany. She said technically I can take a week off without pay without her consent and she thinks I should go.. the only problem is we are pretty behind at work and if I leave it will cause us to get further behind. I could always work TONS of ( Read more... )

GERMANY IS SO GREAT YOU HAVE TO GO! you have wanted to be a travel agent, how can you pass up this oppurtunity to travel?! you will probably have to forget the raw thing at least for a while, even vegetarian food is rare in europe. schnitzel is so good! bratwurst! the best icecream i have ever eaten was in germany omg i wish i had some now..!

i would probably suck dick on the street corner to get the $$ , lol.. maybe not but i would think about it

it takes like 6 weeks to get a passport, but you are right you can get one faster for more money.. as mentioned i got one in 48 hours of applying. for a price :/

do what your heart tells you to do

as for me, I'd just stay home. these are not good times for americans to be leaving america. to much political bs putting any american overseas anywhere in danger.

In the immortal words of Tim Gunn, make it work! You can always catch up with overtime when you get back. Just think of the money you will SAVE by staying in accomodatons paid for by Tim's company! Yes! Savings!!

I think you will regret not going if you pass it up. Also, look online at airfare before you ruie the trip out. Maybe you will find an inexpensive flight at an off time.

On a totally different note, they only had 1 opening on Saturday at Visage. I did not schedule anything since there was only one opening. Want to try to plan ahead and go in April since you are busy the rest of March?
Let me know!

as much as I'd love to have you come visit, germany is really effing cool. but if you decide that it's much to difficult to make it happen, know that you'll have a fun time in nyc instead.

hey sweetie! i'm weighing in.
GO. You will not regret it. and airfare will not be bad. there are crazy fares to europe right now - nyc to london for less than $400 rt. United, Virgin & British airways all are offer good deals to anywhere in Europe if you fly through London, which - lets face it, is London - and pretty damn cool to begin with.

You can definitely get an expedited Passport in time. I've done it on two weeks notice, but you need to present your travel itinerary to show cause for expediting.

Try Kayak.com or Sidetep.com to figure out the lowest airfare & book it sweetie. Work will always be there, who knows when you'll have another chance to go to Germany with the love of your life?? Cinderella's real-life castle is in Germany, so in the spirit of "a dream is a wish your heart makes" - I encourage you to seize that dream & make your own happily ever after!

damn... you really know how to make a girl throw all her "sensible" thoughts out the window and take off for germany!

btw, if I don't go to germany I"m going to NYC so maybe we can hang. **XOXO**
