Civil War

I woke this morning to Axl Rose screaming propaganda in my ear. 19 years ago, in the heyday of Guns and Roses, he sang about Civil War, how "it feeds the rich while it buries the poor."It's a song that illustrates the realities of the dual nature of conflict: those who fight and those employed to die. So the question might be 'Who is paying the protesters?' Therein lies the real nature of this insurgency. It is who/what is behind the scenes, the Wizard if you will. The main puppet master in this madness is former Prime Minister Thaksin, a multi-billionaire who has been exiled from Thailand. Sadly, money is a digital currency, and can be moved anywhere at the speed of thought. His allies, friends, and supporters are the ones who have been organizing this all.

While the UN, like all major corporations, is controlled by greedy Wizards, it is, fundamentally, a peace-keeping organization, one whose charter is to prevent international rebellion in the sense of the Nazis. I never said that it was "peace-loving", for that would imply a hippie commune who send flowers and well-wishes to bad people in the hopes of changing their views. But the UN is seen internationally as peace-keepers. And as such, they aren't the biggest fans of terrorism.

Thank you for sharing this, Rob. I had wanted to hear it from someone who is actually there. Do you and Bia feel safe? What do you plan to do?

For the time being, we feel pretty safe. While Central Plaza has been torched and part of it has collapsed, it seems as if the bulk of the rioting has diminished. We did receive another threat at my Central today, so I had the day off, but still, we can hope it'll all be finished by the weekend.
