Ami and I walk in to the doctor's office for her appointment and the nurse asks about me, "Oh is that your dad?"

O.O

(I'm 41 and she's 26)

Hahahahahaha. I hear that. Dan is 36 and I am 23. We rarely get comments because he looks very boyish, but in the beginning we were SOOOO self conscious about it.
Now it's just a big joke with my friends. We call him Uncle Dan and say things like, "Uncle Dan, tell us what things were like before computers!"
But hey, you shouldn't feel old, you should feel AWESOME. (c:

I do feel awesome, but I'm beginning to realize now that I'm back in the U.S. that I look older than I thought. I mean, Ami got carded at this winery we went to, and I got out MY driver's license and the girl just laughed at me.

*fuss*

My second most recent ex was fifteen and a half years older than me. I had a lot of people ask if he was my father. I hate when people assume stuff.

My father has been asked if he is my grandfather before. He's going to be 65 in July and I'm 28.

When I was working with gifted children and teens at a summer camp for years, I had some of the teenagers think I was 40 when I was only 22 or so. That made me feel old.

My father was 38 when I was born, which was at least a decade older than most of my friend's dads. He was more 1940s and they were all 1950s or '60s.
