since we can assume the 2 were only going off to have sex. no, not under normal circumstances would a real friend do that, it's not amiable.

No I think that is horrible and inconsiderate. They should not have assumed that the person who lived 10 minutes from the beach would be able to bring everyone home. They should have called and got in contact unless they really had to leave because it was some sort of emergency situation. I don't think a good friend would do that.
