Intro post

Mar 21, 2012 21:05

So since as I've acquired a fair number of new friends in the last week or so from various memes, I figured it was about time I did one of these intro things and blah'd about myself a bit. Updated as of 11/07/12

SO HELLO. WAVES. )

intro, ramble ramble ramble, blahblahblah

No, I agree, Delirium was such a good book, not that Pan isn't, but I was honestly surprised to find out she was writing a second, let alone a third. Wait until you get to the end though! But I think Delirium would have been a great standalone, it was powerful enough on its own, but her writing is so beautiful.

And yes, I've read matched and started Crossed, but then something else came along and I put it off to the side. I found it a bit weird with the sudden p.o.v changes, though I understand why they're there. Who do you ship? And the only cast I've ever seen and liked was Anna Popplewell as Anna, I have and Alex in my head, but have never found anyone to match him. You?

Animal behavior and psychology sounds fun! That's something we have in common (sort of). I also work at a restaurant, although I'm not a manager, and am in veterinary school right now. I'm studying to be a technician and have about a year left in the program. I can't wait until I'm finished! Then I have to pass the big bad VTNE. How much longer do you have left?

It's so interesting and it's been a long time since I've actually enjoyed learning. Ha! And no, it's mostly online, though a practical at the end, which is good as I can take my time between work and everything else. There was another one I was interested in and may pursue at the end, as I'd love to start my own behaviour work/training school, but each course is so expensive, the first one alone about 425 pounds, and you need so many credits to pass and it requires an awful lot of money, more than I make anyway. Still, maybe in the future ( ... )

That's so cool that you worked for Disney World in two different programs- I'm so glad that was such a great experience for you. :)

IT NEEDS TO BE APRIL 19 ASAP SO PARKS CAN BE BACK IN OUR LIVES. And I love Regina Spektor and Florence, too!!

being warm and toasty, curling up with a good book or fic, having something you can just gloss over on the tv and drinking a damn good cup of tea.
That sounds like a perfect day to me! :D

I loved it! Every single minute and I'm hoping to get back there Sept/Oct for a holiday. I need my magic fix and I never got one last year.

I KNOW! I ALREADY MISS NOT GETTING MY WEEKLY FIX! And yay! Most people in rl have never heard of Regina and my Mum tends to think she sings like a strangled cat, Florence too, and I'm all, but what??? ARE YOU LISTENING TO THE BEAUTY???

It is. :D And then outside on sun baked wood when it's sunny, with a warm breeze passing through and drinking something refreshing. Ah, summer, I cannot wait.

I don't really go around using it a lot, I guess. But thank you. :D And yup, hahaha, it just all seems so long ago now. And it's so nice to enjoy learning something again, I just have very little interest in the current field that I'm in.
