Some surprises are better thought out than others. *g*

My problem is Willow showing up unexpected and uninvited shows (to me) that she hasn't learned a thing. It's *still* all about *her* and what *she* wants. Frankly, I don't trust her as far as *Spike* could throw her.

Of course, I'm saying this without knowing exactly where you're going with this, but hey, speculation is fun. It's why I read fic. ;-)

And the speculation is great. Sometimes, people's comments have helped me catch and fix things that would have been huge plot holes. I'm just taking the mysterious route: I cannot confirm or deny if this is going to be significant. *g*

Surprise indeed! This should be interesting to say the least.

And of course Ethan would know Dawn is the key. He is far too sneaky.

And really, none of the gang are very good at hiding things. Ethan however, should have thought through how he made his announcement. *g*

The dialogue about the Knights was hilarious and I'm pretty sure chain mail wouldn't have gone with most of Buffy's outfits :)

Spike's protectiveness for Dawn is fantastic in this chapter and I've always wanted someone to choke Ethan so I loved their confrontation.

I don't remember if the 'mortal flesh' bit is from canon or not but it's a great clue that I'm glad your characters aren't overlooking...gives me hope as 'the fun keeps leaving' (another fantastic quote from your last chapter)

The Knights were fun, but really, which writer created them just after watching Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade? How did they get all that armor (not to mention horses capable of carrying that armor without freaking) into this country? No matter how much fun it was to watch medieval knights attacking a winnebago, it wasn't one of Joss' better thought out moments of logic. (Sorry, Joss)

Reread it all to get to this point. As always, I like very much how you set everything up, and work with the characters themselves in your stories.

Betcha never thought this epic would grow to 4 books....LOL!

*grins madly* You liked it enough to re-read!
Never in a million years did I think it would grow this big. When this began, I figured maybe 10 chapters total. Who knew?

*giggle* Yep, I've had plans to have Willow make an appearance for awhile. The ties to Sunnydale are still too strong for her to sit out a battle like the one coming up.
