So much heart ache. I was shocked yesterday to read of jyantj's friend committing suicide. I am shocked this morning to read of Steven Curtis Chapman’s little girl being killed in an accident. After dropping off our kids with grandpa and auntie, Matt and I headed to the coast for the weekend to celebrate our 9th anniversary. Well on our way we went through Selma, Oregon! Well some of you may be interested to know that we have now retired Matt’s old brown pick-up. His 1988 Ford Ranger has served him and us well over the last 15 years. The pick-up itself is now 20 years old and is still running strong, well, except for a few things. But it will be donated to a charity and hopefully someone can get some good use ( Read more... )

I think now is a good time to fill you all in on the state of my dad’s health. October brought news of another cancerous tumor in my dad’s lung. This is the 3rd time he is battling lung cancer in 3 years. If ever there was a disease that declares war on a body it is cancer. Last night was the big pumpkin carving party at my daughter’s preschool. We brought our pumpkins and got right to work.
