Say it with flowers

After over seven long years of silence, my biological mother has contacted me -- in one of the most weirdest ways possible. She sent me some flowers -- roses and violets. Attached was a note: "Roses are red, Violets are blue, It's been a long time, and I sure miss you!" *rolling my eyes*

Hmm.....let's see -- why did I break off contact?

You're sweet :) I'm OK. I'm not exactly sure WHY she is doing this now.

About 6 weeks ago my Dad and Srepmom (who I consider a REAL mom) were at a family members wedding and ran into her. She asked about me, but Dad only gave her basic info -- he wanted to check with me first before sharing too much with her. But he runs into her 2-4 times yearly at various family things, so this wasn't unusual.

I have had an on/off again relationship with her for a long time. My life is MUCH less stressed and MUCH happier since we parted ways. Not sure how much you know about all this -- hopefully we can get together on the weekend and chat! :)

*hugs*

No wonder you want nothing to do with her! I can't blame you there.

Actually, I've got a better idea for the card with the dead flowers:

Roses are dead,
Violets are too,
It's not long enough,
I don't miss you.

:) :) :) :) :)
