I think times like this, people feel better knowing as much as they possibly can, or at least thinking they know. It makes us feel a bit better, I suppose.

Yes, that's very true. It makes for creepy surroundings though, what with the strained smiles and see you/see me games. I can't even get a mug of tea anymore without feeling like I've interrupted something.

I suppose that's what happens in times like these. People reach out to one another and put aside their differences. If only it didn't take such cataclysmic events for them to do that.
