Your ex-girlfriend's mom is right (god, did I ever think I'd say that?). If you aren't happy with yourself - comfortable in your own skin, confident, put together, emotionally stable - what chance have you got of making someone else happy ( ... )

It's not meant to rub things in. It's just a little perspective. I know how shitty things must feel right now but it will get better, I promise. Keep busy, try to keep your mind off of it, and surround yourself with the people who love you and care about you.

Fuck, everything I say is taken the wrong way.
