Linda, please confirm that in your second haiku, L2 reads "weal" (a wealth? or, a mark on skin?) and not "veil" ... or, something else for that matter :)

Thanks for checking my haiku as there is indeed a word that has dropped out somehow.
It should read:

ancient gatherings
a flying white star
falls from my brush
