Servant!Guy + Asch Log

It was surprisingly warm weather in Daath. The mountains had held back the rains, and it was a bright, sunny day out. Regardless of the unusual heat, Asch had decided to practice. Van's plans were coming closer and closer to completion, and Asch knew that he'd need all the strength he could muster to see it through ( Read more... )

Returning from a mission was always something of an adventure. The Special Operatives were constantly on the move, taking care of the jobs that no one else either wanted or had the skills to deal with. With Asch at the forefront, directing the soldiers and choosing whatever one was the most appropriate for the mission, Guy was starting to get suspicious that something was up. Asch hadn't really said as much, but Guy was too well in tune with the redhead's mannerisms by now to be fooled. And Asch probably knew - which could explain why he'd been sent off on a mission that was estimated to take a while.

Then again he could be way off, and Van might have been the one pulling the strings. Either way, he'd managed to return early, and the first thing he did after handing in his report was go look for his friend.

He found him in the courtyard of the God-General's private wing - to which he had access with Asch's special permission - practicing, his favourite passtime. And shirtless, to boot. Guy wasn't going to complain about that, and he ( ... )

Thrust. Slash. Parry. Slash. Dodge. Asch had the various motions memorized, though he changed them up from time to time. He did not want to be caught off guard if things got ugly. He had undoubtedly grown up nicely, with firm muscles and a healthy body.

He was intensely focused on his movements, fighting an invisible enemy. His actions were expert and fluid, the results of several years of intense practice. It would have been obvious to anyone why he was the God-General in charge of the Special Ops unit. That was, if his only audience wasn't someone who was already aware of that.

Unaware of his audience, Asch continued his practice.

As usual, Asch was pretty lost in both thought and focus. Guy smiled to himself, watching him flow through the motions of his training exercises. It was never dull or unpleasant to watch the young man practice, so he took his time with it, very slowly pushing away from the wall and stepping closer. For some reason Asch very rarely noticed his approach - whether it was because of the trust that lay between them, or Asch just didn't pay attention when he trained (bloody unlikely, since that was the whole point of training), he was never entirely certain.

Either way, he used it to his advantage, slipping closer, and when Asch paused in his motions just long enough for Guy to get into his space without a sword flying at his head, he strode forward and loped an arm around Asch's waist, the other around his torso to pin his arms at his sides. Hopefully that would keep Asch from instantly stabbing him. Damn kid's reflexes were way too good.

"Guess who's back?" he said quietly into Asch's ear, grinning amiably. He loved these little moments

Asch's senses were on edge. He'd allowed for a slip in his defenses, and he was prepared to retaliate against his attacker for breaking his concentration.

However, that was all shaken the moment he heard Guy's voice. His body relaxed and he cracked a grin. Van had sent Guy out on a mission that was expected to take quite a bit of time, and Asch wasn't sure when he was going to see the blond again.

"You bastard," Asch replied, his tone amused. He would have been furious, but Guy's presence was one of the few good things still in his life. "How the hell did you get back so soon?" He asked, starting to catch his breath.

Guy chuckled faintly, resting his chin on Asch's shoulder. He ignored the sweat on the man's skin - he needed to change his uniform anyway, and he rather enjoyed the redhead's bare back against him. He could indulge a little, even if his enjoyment was secret. "I'm pretty good at what I do," he mused, brow lifting a little. He didn't go into detail about what exactly that was; not because the mission was a secret from Asch - he was the Special Ops commander, for Yulia's sake - but because he didn't feel like talking about who he'd been sent to kill this time. The downside of being an operative was the secrecy of it all... don't ask, don't tell.

He turned his thoughts elsewhere - namely, the lovely redhead still trapped in his arms. "Missed me? You don't look like you're wallowing in boredom."
