I've had this mulling over in my head for a bit now, and the time has come for me to unveil my top 3 continuity errors in the Harry Potter series. Now granted there are dozens of them, but there are three that actually irritate me ( Read more... )

That's an interesting question with regards to #1. The whole time-turner thing is a giant mess of contradictions and whatnots. It's not an accident that JKR had the time-turners destroyed in the battle at the Ministry at the end of OotP.

And #3...Dumbledore's wand hand is injured by the curse from Marvolo's ring. Also, I don't think Harry is left-handed, so he'd be unlikely to hold it in that hand. Not impossible though, so I can't count tha tone as a true mistake.

Correct. Also, I am considering doing a study of book covers to determine this, but you can make a STRONG case that Harry IS left-handed based on book covers. I will in fact, work on this and post about it later.

Based on book covers, perhaps. However if you refer to page 83 of Sorcerer's Stone, Harry flat-out tells Olivander he's right-handed.
