If it's music that you definitely want to focus on in college,
why not just consider a music school!?
- Berklee College of Music [Boston, MA]
- Eastman School of Music of the University of Rochester [Rochester, NY]
- John Hopkins University: Peabody Conservatory of Music [Baltimore, MD]
- Manhattan School of Music [New York, NY]
- Mannes College of Music [New York, NY]
- New England Conservatory of Music [Boston, MA]
- SUNY: College at Potsdam [Potsdam, NY]

Not neccesarily.
There's music education, if you want to be a teacher.
But I'm taking a wild guess that that's the farthest of career choice. -=P
