Nothing you do that doesn't include paying for parking will really be less sketchy, and you run the risk of getting your car towed if you park at a resort (most have 3 hour parking limits). I've heard that during certain times of the year they may also watch your car in DTD and tow if it's there all day long.

I've seen cars with boots on them in resort parking lots. It's not pretty!

Honestly? Upgrade your passes, or at least one of your passes. You'd only be paying the difference and as long as the one person is in the car that has the pass you're good for parking. That's really the only non-sketchy way you can get around parking.

Those are usually cast member cars that aren't parked in cast parking.

I'm a cast member too... so I know that. But is it a chance that anyone would really want to take? Mistakes can be made.

This is kinda sketch but a few years ago I got some whack directions from Yahoo Maps and ended up coming in through the cast entrance. There was no one at the booth and I was pissing off a car behind me so I just went through, then trying to find the normal entrance I ended up driving around one of the resorts following the signs out to i-4. On the way out there was a sign that parking was the other way. I did a u-turn...it was just before passing the parking toll booth thingies, but just after for someone coming the other direction.
When I got to the park parking, I told the parking attendant I got in some backward way with bad directions and didn't get a parking pass and they said don't worry about it. I parked all day there for free.

Someone else I know does the pretending to eat at a resort.
I don't really understand how they determine a full day is too long to park at downtown disney. How do they know you're not shopping all day?

I think if we were to go the sketchy route, we'd do the DTD thing. I know someone who does that every time.

I have done that one before.

$14 is pretty extreme for parking. Makes me wonder if it would be profitable to run a shuttle from a park n ride somewhere.
