Glad you were able to get the tests you needed. Let me know when you get the results back. And if you need anything, I'm here.

I may be kinda dumb or have blinders on, but I really don't see how we can defend our current healthcare. People are treated like commodities and the billing practices seem to be consciously structured to syphon off all funds from middle-class folks. The robber barons running the system are going to fight tooth and nail to keep it - so we're going to have to fight twice as hard to change it.

Might be time for a revolution.

I know exactly how you feel with tests...and the cost of them. The bill from my last 2 day stay in the hospital a couple weeks ago so far is around 27k. My private pay insurance, since I am still unemployed, only paid half of it. I have no way to pay the other half. But at least they can't garnish unemployment benefits. Eventually I won't be able to see a Dr...because I won't have paid their bills.

Being a 50 yr old, handicapped but not enough to be on SSI, white woman with no children... gets me no help from the government.

In 4 months when the unemployment runs out, if my property hasn't sold, I will be homeless with no way to pay for my diabetes or kidney medicine. the last time I went without insulin I ended up in an ER and with another horrendous medical bill.

I see no way for the health care system to be renovated or radically changed in time to help people like me. But we shall see.

Im lucky to be working for the county. The benefits are good even if the pay sucks. I had 3 stents put in a couple of years back and the meds and return visits to the "heark" surgeon would have done me in long ago. I am so glad that the tests came out ok for you Travis. Even if it is pricey, its a lot less than the angioplasty.
