I am packing for an arduous 3 week long business trip, and was reviewing the baggage restrictions because I need to take a lot with me.  One can only wonder what series of hijinks set off this highly important amendment to the American Airlines baggage policy:

The thing I find interesting is that the airline specifically doesn't want bass *fiddle* players, like they have something against bluegrass. Upright bass / double-bass or any jazz or orchestal application, no problem--just no goddam toothless hillbilly instruments for chrissakes.

Are there any applicable accordion-related regulations?

That strikes me as being the sort of instrument a terrorist would like.
