It is somewhat pathetic that the most I've written on a topic other than clients in almost 2 years since graduation is the paragraph I spat out last night to restart the book attempt for this summer writing game (not counting infrequent journal updates). My job satisfaction is seriously on the rise. It's surprising how much more I like working with primary mental health than primary substance abuse. Maybe this will keep up!

Today I feel I provided a high level of service to two clients and may have started them on a path to build their way out of destructive patterns. It feels damned good.

I don't understand how anyone can vote for fiscal conservatism. The last two presidents that significantly promoted fiscally conservative legislation started significant downturns and pushed us further into debt while the last two times we pushed hard for fiscal liberalism, we pulled out of economic downturn and started g having increases in jobs ( Read more... )

I'm getting moved around to a slightly better shift. Work Sunday night through Thursday night and 60 hours a month is counted as extra shift time paid out at about half pay. All of it is on call, so I don't have to go in. I was getting alternating three day weekends and two day weeks split by a 20 hour shift. Now I get two weekend days off ( Read more... )
