I just hope the beans cook down in time - we're getting together in 2 hours.

It really does sound good... but I would probably leave out the chipolte.

It's for giving it a smoky flavor since I'm not using pork. It worked pretty well, though it also prolongs the spicy feeling on your tongue.

Ya know what's good for a smoky flavor - there's this stuff called "liquid smoke." No meat involved. A little goes a long way.

Yeah I just didn't have any so I used the chipolte peppers. I'll get some of that stuff sometime, I've heard it works really well.
