Had a burger at the Waverly diner the other day. Edis and I used to eat there all the time, and get stuff delivered from there. The burgers are some of the best in the city (this is still true, I discovered). I didn't recognize any of the staff, but it was still a huge chunk of memory overload. Things look very good for Obama. He's on pace to win Florida, which would win him the election. Frankly, if Romney doesn't win BOTH Florida and Virginia, he's in serious trouble.

Mourdock in Indiana going down is a big deal, too. Democrats will definitely keep the Senate.

Fox called Ohio for Obama. It's over.

This is really pretty unbelievable. The city that never closes is closed. The most vibrant area of NYC, the southern end of Manhattan, is without power, without subways. It's like a zombie movie ( Read more... )

More devastation. Off from school another day. May be closed the whole week. I don't think there's ever been a disaster like this in NYC in my life. Probably cost the economy a fortune in Wall Street, too.
