A couple days ago I bought a 1994 Honda Civic Del Sol. This will be a replacement for the '88 Cabriolet, which was always a stopgap car and which has some issues I don't really want to put money and effort into fixing. Going from an old VW to a Honda seems like a logical proresssion for many.

In some ways it is a pretty logical progression to go from an A1 VW to a Civic. Both are small four-cylinder cars with go kart handling and decent (for their day) power-to-weight ratios. There's a decided step up in refinement going from a chassis designed in the 1970s to one designed in the early '90s, though. ;)
