Tim's dragging me to see the new Bond, mainly because I've never actually seen one all the way through. Or part of the way through. Which is sacrilege, I know, but at least it isn't as bad as a friend of mine who still hasn't seen ET.
I actually got all of FY in a box, complete with three of the DVD sets, sealed it up, then realized that I'd forgotten the fourth... So the black DVD set will come separately. You should watch them in the order of: red set, blue set, black set, and maybe green set if you're really desperate, because the green set of OAVs sucks. But anyway.
*gasp* Never watched a Bond movie? The horror! I love Bond movies. They're so delightfully incoherent. You can pick any six of them at random, put them in a blender, choose scenes arbitrarily, run them all together, and it will make no less sense than any of the movies run normally. I make exceptions for "Goldeneye", but that's only because Sean Bean plays 006 in it. *g* You should at least give that one a try. I think that's the one with Alan Cumming, too.
Ooh, I'm getting DVDs too? Yay! And your books should be there sometime next week. I shipped them media rate 'cause they're insanely heavy. ;)
They actually arrived two days ago. And believe me, the manga's coming media rate too. I think you'll have every one except volume 13 or something like that, because it's not like I'll need my copies in NZ... *g* The DVDs are on loan though. I will want them back. *g*
We might even have Goldeneye actually. And anything involving Sean Bean... Can't he ever be a good guy who doesn't die within the first ten minutes of a movie?
Fine. But you're not getting them back until you return from NZ. *g* I think we've had this conversation before. ;)
As for Sean... Looking over his IMDB list of 81 movies and tv appearances, I can go "dead, dead, bad guy, bad guy, Sharpe movie, bad guy, dead..." Heh. It is a shame that even when he plays the good guy, he almost invariably ends up dead in the end anyway. "Tom and Thomas" is apparently one of the few in which he's neither evil or dead, but I can't find it in the US. Why am I so attracted to the screwed up ones? *g*
Ted looked very familiar to me, but I don't recall ever actually seeing him in anything before. And yeah, Vanessa Williams could practically be the star of this show. She just keeps getting better.
Loved the dual anagram solving. How it almost, but not quite, looked like telepathy. Hee.
My dad made the comment (amid me yelling at my internet connection) that they were "Highlighting the psychic connection between them." Hell, even HE sees it. *bg* Why yes, I come by being a geek quite naturally. :D

I like Brett Cullen, so I was very happy with the casting of Ted. He works really with Vanessa Williams (who I like more and more each week).
Even I bought the "He was an old army buddy of our dad's" line for a while there.
Me too! Sam is much better at the long con than Dean is. Stanford and all that.
by knocking down a brick wall with his elbow.
Week by week, they just seem to emphasize how large Jared Padalecki is.

True, and so very ironic. *g*
