I have to admit, while I've been watching Bones fairly regularly, it never really hit my buttons, it was good, it had fun characters but it was a very Slow Love Affair.
Until this episode. *squishes them all soundly* There's just so much that resonated with me, down to two smart people not letting their panic get in the way.
So-- *koff* Which episode was Hodgin's $$ revealed in? *is curious so she can find it*
Hi! Yep, one of the things I love about this show is that they let the smart people BE SMART. The carbon dioxide scrubber idea was brilliant. :)
I think the Hodgins' major money thing was revealed pretty early in the first season. Fifth or sixth episode. I can't remember how it came up, but Booth and Angela somehow find out that Zack is actually living in a guest house on Hodgins' estate. (And that Zack is never allowed to visit the "big house".) They then connect a few dots and realize that Hodgins is really ridiculously wealthy and apparently contributes enough money to the Jeffersonian that he could be running the whole place if he wanted to. But the point is that he doesn't want to. He likes his job working with dirt and doesn't want anybody to treat him any differently. So he swears Zack, Angela, and Booth to secrecy about the whole thing. I love that they've brought it up again.

"I need you to be Dr. Brennan." / "I don't know what that means."
I love Zach and his perpetual student-ness. :D
