The bias definitely appeals :-). And I think you have captured the essential...flavors of the ducklings quite well. Of the three, Chase has the least research-oriented specialty, so it doesn't surprise me that he'd handle things a bit differently.

The writing's a little loose and could be tightened a bit, but overall a nice little drabble.

I'm not sure what you mean by the writing being "a little loose" though. It's only 200 words. Hee! If I tightened it up much more, I don't think I would have had enough words to make it say what I needed it to. :)

I relate to her desire to get a gold star at life, sometimes. But that is one way life is not like school.

The characterizations are dead on here. I think of all the ducklings, Chase is probably the most House-like. Very good.
