The weather has taken a turn for the hot and dry and Trixie finds herself having to haul water from the river over to her makeshift veggie garden. It's long, hard work.
In swing three Spider-Girls, two in nearly indentical outfits, and a third...well, she's in weretiger form. The shorter of the girls, and the were-tiger, look a little bit scorched. The tiger less so, but all the same, it's obviously been a rough night.
"Task!" Mayday calls. "I brought company. Do you mind?" Then she turns to Trixie. "Hi, um...?"
"Yeh, it would. I don't like people I don' know touchin' me. An' if y'open it, the mess'll be on your head, not mine. Shit, girl. You're tracking a demon, that never ends well. Trust me, love."
"Why does everyone keep saying that?" May mutters. "I swear he's a good guy."
She unzips her backpack and places the hand inside. It takes up more room than she thought it would -- squeezing in Reilly's book and club takes a lot of work -- but everything manages to fit. Barely. Maybe she should start carrying a bigger bag. After a few moments of groaning and grunting, she looks up at Trixie.
"Thanks again. Uhm -- I know Task paid you already, but if you ever need me to do the hero thing sometime, don't hesitate to call."
Then she grins at Alexa. "Want to see the Parker place?"
If by fight you mean distracted him until a bunch of bigger, badder heroes could wipe the floor with him. Let's not mention that she still nearly died in the process. Yeah, she's toast.
Taskmaster stretches from where he's been slouching off to one side, behaving himself while the magic business got taken care of. He knows full well where his expertise ends. "Okay, webslinger, you got this under control now? 'Cause I draw the line at tanglin' with magic and demons if I can help it. You need resources or another fighter for this thing, you call me again. Otherwise-"
He nods at Trixie, and it's always hard to tell, but he seems quite grateful. "-I've got some stuff I need to order. I'll bring it by soon's it's in my hands, Trixie."
"Heh, nah, but I like to see to my debts just the same. Besides-"
Goodness yes, that is a very large, rather spazzy leopard dropping by, isn't it? Taskmaster's voice has the sort of amused sound of someone who's had far more than their usual dose of Nexus LOL for the day. "-I think you've got another visitor to see to. Later!...and thanks."
((In other words, the mun's brain is well gone poot for a while, so she's gonna get while the getting's coherent. :) ))

Then she stands there for a second, looking unbearably awkward. "I'd hug you, but it'd be weird if I hugged you, wouldn't it?"
((Sorry, RL stole me for a moment. I'm back!))

"But, hey, you're welcome!"
((Hahaha whoops! Oh well, it still works -- May has a very tiny backpack.))

((And of course, the fact that both of them are wearing masks makes no difference at all!))
