I've just got a barcode scanner. It's rather fun. Have catalogued all the books in the conservatory. Next, the OUSFG library. People may find themselves being asked to pass me lots of books next Sunday...

I want to be done. I have been here for four years and I can see the end in sight and I don't *want* two more exams, damnit, I want to be done. I don't care any more, I just want it to be tomorrow afternoon and I want to be DONE.

(Note to classicists: yes, I know I have no real cause for complaint, but I don't care. I want to be done.)

I shall finally be finishing (for real, this time) on Tuesday. Not sure if there will be much going on - sir_rosealot and most of the Lost Hopefuls will still be doing exams, but there may be a picnic and croquet type things, so anybody who feels like it is welcome to join! I get out at 16:15 at Schools.

I really am my own worst enemy. Note to future self: do not, under any circumstances, choose to do a question on the one part of the course you haven't looked at, have in fact thought "nah, I'll never do a question on that," simply because it looks interesting and the other one on material you have revised and sort of know looks dull ( Read more... )

Have just finished reading 'The Fionavar Tapestry'. Am getting soft in my old age. I spent most of the last book trying to hold off tears, and completely failed at the end.

And now the inescapable sense of loss, as with all the best books. And, in part, of longing; futile, luckily, for else a choice that I am not sure I could make.
