We brought Chance home last night. He is ours; we signed the adoption papers, and now we are proud new parents. I will post a photo as soon as he finds it in his heart to come out from my closet.

Carolyn just called me. Edward and Elizabeth were adopted together this weekend by an assumedly loving family with children. Carolyn said that the children played with the two kitties for an hour in the little private room at Petco yesterday, and she feels really good about this adoption. Carolyn left a message today. The babies names are Edward and Elizabeth. I like it. Apparently Elizabeth is fat and sassy, and her cold is almost gone. Edward, however, is being hand-milkfed 6cc's every four hours. Carolyn's tone on the message seemed to indicate that that is good, as she said, "I can't believe I'm getting that down him." OK, so I was at Dr. W's yesterday for my Herceptin treatment.  Oh, yeah, in case I never mentioned, I am still on this form of sorta chemotherapy (or biotherapy, as they prefer to call it), for at least a year; that's an IV infusion every three weeks for a total of eighteen.  Come to think of it, I believe I have mentioned this before.  Anyway, I ( Read more... )
