I went with my baby to a gun show in Puyallup. HE BOUGHT ME A GUN!!!!!! I wasn't planning on having a gun (had actually made up my mind NOT to have one), but this one was SO PRETTY that I couldn't resist. :-) It's a Colt Frontier Scout 0.22 LR. One little bullet at a time would be pathetic (and dangerous!)

OK, I'm no gun expert, but surely the idea is to get some sort of training so you can use it safely and effectively. If you are in a position where you need to use it (and, tbh, I don't see much attraction in owning one for any other reason) then you can disable (and preferably not kill) your attacker efficiently.

Er, sorry, I come from a place where guns in the home are pretty rare. Guns on the streets, on the other hand...

I hear you. I'm from Brazil, where only criminals have guns. So when I come here and fall in love/marry a gun maniac, I was pretty freaked out (not to mention my parents!) Still am to a point. But when you have to sleep with 10+ guns underneath your mattress, and have to see them often because your husband "finds them pretty and likes to hold them" (instead of, let's say, a cat!) it gets more comfortable... LOL ( ... )
