Just write!! Don't even stop to rethink it.. just let your creative juices flow and don't censor yourself. That's what a rough draft is called. Do all of that fine tuning "wonder if this is good or not" crap until you are finished. :-) the editing process can be fun.

I'm sure you're a better writer than you think you are. ;-)

I appreciate you taking the time to cheer me up... I really do. I guess even rough drafts are tough to write when you're not feeling well...

something that sorta helped me out (before i started studing for med trans) is a book i found at the local recycled book store. it's called "The Weekend Novelist" by Robert J Ray. it's a 52 week program (or work at your own pace) to help you produce a finished novel, with only working on the weekends or a few hours a week! I havent finished the book yet but what i have read helped me out alot. maybe check in to it, write a bit on the weekends or a few hours a week, and keep your novel going!

Thanks for the suggestion - writing guides are always on my to-read list. Although my problem is really not finding time to write; since I'm not working, time is what I have the most!
